Violа
Andriy was born in Novoyavorivsk, Lviv region.
Graduated from the National Music Academy of Ukraine (class of professor D.Havrylts) in 2004 and post graduate study in 2007.
From 2001 Andriy is a soloist of the National Ensemble of Soloists “Kyiv Kamerata”.
Among the musician’s music prizes and awards:
1997 – Laureate of the 1st prize of the All-Ukrainian competition of string instruments (Donetsk);
2001 – Laureate of the International Competition “Art of the XXI Century” (Vorzel);
2003 – prize for the best performance of a work by a Ukrainian author at the International Yelskyi Competition (Minsk, Belarus);
2004 – Diploma of the Z.Dashak International Violist Competition (Kyiv);
2010 – Laureate of the L.Revutsky Prize
Andriy is violist of Revutsky String Quartet.
Since 2007 he has been teaching viola class at the National Academy of Music of Ukraine. As a teacher, Andriy Tuchapets trained many successful musicians, prizewinners of international competitions.
As a soloist he performed with various orchestras and famous conductors: among them: Chamber Orchestra “Concertino” (Tbilisi, Georgia), conductor – G. Shilakadze; National Symphony Orchestra of Ukraine, conductor – N. Farina (Switzerland); National Ensemble “Kyiv Soloists”, conductor -B. Kotorovich; National Academic Symphony Orchestra of Ukraine, conductor – V. Sirenko; Chamber orchestra “Virtuosos of Lviv”, conductor – S. Burko and others.
