The ensemble is renowned for its commitment to contemporary Ukrainian music and for its collaborations with outstanding musicians from around the world.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Since the death of its founder, Valerii Matiukhin, in 2023, the Kyiv Camerata has been led by a new artistic team. It\u2019s General Director and Artistic Director is leading Ukrainian violinist Bohdana Pivnenko. Its Co- Artistic Director is violist Kateryna Suprun.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In the fall of 2024, Canadian-Ukrainian conductor Keri-Lynn Wilson was appointed Music Director of the Kyiv Camerata. Ms. Wilson is also the founder and Music Director of the Ukrainian Freedom Orchestra, a project she launched in 2022 in response to Russia\u2019s full-scale invasion of Ukraine. Through this ensemble and her global platform, she has become a powerful advocate for Ukrainian culture, using her artistry to amplify Ukrainian voices and bring international attention to the country\u2019s music. Ms. Wilson has played a key role in introducing Ukrainian repertoire to major concert halls around the world, and her partnership with the Kyiv Camerata marks a new chapter in the ensemble\u2019s mission to bring Ukrainian music to global audiences.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The Kyiv Camerata performs concerts throughout Ukraine and and has also toured across Europe, Asia, North America, and the Middle East. In 2024, the ensemble made its Carnegie Hall debut in a program conducted by Ms. Wilson that also featured mezzo soprano Joyce DiDonato as soloist in the North American premiere of Ukrainian composer Victoria Vita Poleva\u2019s \u201cNo Man Is and Island\u201d. The ensemble made its Berlin debut in April 2025 with a concert at the Berlin Philharmonie.<\/p>\n<p>The Kyiv Camerata has presented dozens of world premieres, including works by seminal Ukrainian composers Valentin Sylvestrov, Yevhen Stankovych, Ivan Karabyts, Volodymyr Zubytsky and Victoria Poleva, as well as rising younger Ukrainian composers such as Alexander Rodin, Bohdana Frolyak and Zoltan Almashi.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The Kyiv Camerata has featured other international guest artists, including Jean-Guihen Queyras, J\u00f6rg Zwicker, Roc Fargas, and others.
